I built the bits nobody sees.

Operations manager, project manager, certified Online Business Manager®. For 6+ years my actual job was finding ways to automate, streamline and save other people's time and money, long before AI was a thing. Zapier, Make, and a LOT of linking up tools that were never designed to talk to each other, so the business ran smoother and the clients on the other end got a better experience. 40+ online businesses: websites, courses, launches, platform migrations, the unglamorous machinery nobody sees. International business degree, and a hard-earned instinct for the simplest version of anything. I even burnt out doing it and rebuilt on purpose, so I know exactly what "too busy for one more thing" feels like.

What that looked like, before AI

The same problems, solved with duct tape and Zapier.

Onboarding flows that ran themselves the moment someone paid
Booking systems, client reporting and launch machinery
Zapier and Make automations stitching separate tools into one system
Platform migrations, without the client losing a week
Training client teams on the new setup so it actually got used

AI didn't replace any of that. It made all of it faster and cheaper to build.

I'd been automating businesses for years before AI turned up, so when it did, I knew exactly what it was for. I put in 1,000s of hours learning it properly, not the hype, the useful stuff, and plugged it into the kind of systems I already knew how to build. Now it runs a real chunk of my business and saves me 20+ hours (and a fair bit of money) every single week.

Then people asked me to teach it

Turns out explaining AI is my favourite thing.

These days I write the curriculum and help teach the sessions for council-funded AI programmes with Ignite AI - whole cohorts of small business owners at a time, from total beginners to founders building their first app without code. Watching someone go from "AI scares me a bit" to using it every day is genuinely the best part of my week.

I run my own business from a laptop in South Thailand - not luck, built on purpose. Nomadium exists so you get everything I've learned without the thousands of hours: in plain words, one step at a time. No jargon, no gatekeeping, no pretending it isn't a bit overwhelming.

Freedom isn't luck. It's a decision (and a decent system).
